I tried zoosk after I quit Sensual seekers. Not much better in many ways.
I dont feel i was scammed, but it it cost me $35 for an exploratory month sub. It took me a week to cancel that.
First, their matching system kept matching me with women that just didn't fit my interests, worse they were basically the same types....and none matched my saved search criteria.
Then i realised that i wasnt getting any responses to the messages i sent to those i sought out, maybe some were fakes or inactives, but i sent a lot of messages, all to different women, and nothing...now i dont expect to get a reply for every message, but you send enough messages and surely someone is going to say something eventually.
Then i realised that if they were not subscribed, they couldnt reply. i could find no way of determining if a member was subb'd or not, nor if they were active.
I need feedback, in fact...a dating site is about communication. Getting no response consistently feels, as i have said in another review, unnatural. I found it creepy, not to mention depressing.
So in less than a week, i have ditched zoosk and in their feedback form suggested they allow non-paying members one free response to each paid member, and some ways they could limit even that.
Pros Seem to be at least a few real people on Zoosk.

Ok, so I tried to buy three credits, each of which is one message. SS wouldn't accept my card, possibly a good thing.
Got hardcore (security context not sexually) on my profile and the messages sent to me, screened again for obvious scammers.
Read terms and conditions...where I found in section 8 their disclaimer on 'Fantasy Profiles' (to encourage socializing, and conduct social research?!)
Realized that anyone that I may spend cash to contact could be a fake bot.
Soooo, I have adjusted my profile to aggressively screen out bots where possible, provided a secure email address just for SS, so any real ladies can contact me for a face to face midday coffee in a public space.
I'll keep an eye on that and see how it goes, but to be honest, paying per message when a bunch of them will be 'fantasy profiles' really gets to me (i cant verify, but of over 500 messages, only about 100 felt remotely real, and of them only about 20 showed any signs of having read my profile).
Maybe if they refunded money spent on contacting their fakes it would feel less like a scam...

I stupidly thought I was paying £9.99 for a months trial only to find they took almost £60 from my bank and I can't even view the picture or profiles unless I upgrade!! The the site have a small number of profiles, hardly any content on the site. Profiles are pretty simple and boring.
If you live outside of a large city forget about it, there are only a handful of outdated profiles.
You occasionally get broadcast messages from site users (which I think are system generated. There is basically never a reply to your messages, which probably indicates the blokes outnumber the chicks by 100 to 1. Also most of the ladies are older, quite a few BBWs.
The search tools are terrible. There are some real people on the site, but not many. Most of the real players are either desperate or looking to find more kinky partners for group sex.
The site also signs up members from partner sites and shares the user database. So you mostly end up talking to someone who is not looking for a "fuck buddy".
Joined this site, and immediately got some messages. You had to subscribe to read the messages, so I did for a month. Replied to these messages and never heard anything further from them. Later on you would get a wink from someone and within minutes their account was deactivated. Too many Bots and fake profiles on this site. Don't waste your money with this site fullstop

Firstly they monitor your favorites and they try to send profiles to entice you to buy credits. You send them a contact number to call you to meet up.
Women stating that they really want you and then use excuses such as:
1. I don't have a mobile. Who doesn't have a mobile when they have put up a picture using a mobile
2. They will respond but will always try to answer with a question so to try to make you use more credits no matter what
3. The women send you a nude photo if you have paid credits to try to keep you paying more
4. They never ring you ever
5. They always say I want to chat more if you send them contact details. Well, you can chat on a mobile
6. They try to act dumb and if you have sent them a number and ask to call you they will respond with I don't give out my email. Dahhh you never even asked for an email and you asked them to call you using your number
7. They rotate people around the clock on the same profile. I found that when questioned on why the conversation had totally changed they sent back giberish as if they had been busted.
8. Tested the site with a secondary profile and the exact same scammers were sending messages to me when I had set my age and profile to a fictitious person to see how bad the scam was. The details were polar opposite.
9. They are basically selling nudes photos under the pretence of being a legitimate dating site.
10. Women that call you darling or sweetheart are the staff monitoring the profiles.
11. They monitor your credits and try to get you to use them up as soon as possible.
There is more but this site is a total disgrace. Should be forced to be locked out of the Australian IP ranges.

If you live outside of a large city forget about it, there are only a handful of outdated profiles.
You occasionally get broadcast messages from site users (which I think are system generated. There is basically never a reply to your messages, which probably indicates the blokes outnumber the chicks by 100 to 1. Also most of the ladies are older, quite a few BBWs.
The search tools are terrible. There are some real people on the site, but not many. Most of the real players are either desperate or looking to find more kinky partners for group sex.
The site also signs up members from partner sites and shares the user database. So you mostly end up talking to someone who is not looking for a "fuck buddy".

They basically sell nude photos for a credit.
You never meet anyone ever.
Firstly they monitor your favorites and they try to send profiles to entice you to buy credits. You send them a contact number to call you to meet up.
Women stating that they really want you and then use excuses such as:
1. I don't have a mobile. Who doesn't have a mobile when they have put up a picture using a mobile
2. They will respond but will always try to answer with a question so to try to make you use more credits no matter what
3. The women send you a nude photo if you have paid credits to try to keep you paying more
4. They never ring you ever
5. They always say I want to chat more if you send them contact details. Well, you can chat on a mobile
6. They try to act dumb and if you have sent them a number and ask to call you they will respond with I don't give out my email. Dahhh you never even asked for an email and you asked them to call you using your number
7. They rotate people around the clock on the same profile. I found that when questioned on why the conversation had totally changed they sent back giberish as if they had been busted.
8. Tested the site with a secondary profile and the exact same scammers were sending messages to me when I had set my age and profile to a fictitious person to see how bad the scam was. The details were polar opposite.
9. They are basically selling nudes photos under the pretence of being a legitimate dating site.
10. Women that call you darling or sweetheart are the staff monitoring the profiles.
11. They monitor your credits and try to get you to use them up as soon as possible.
There is more but this site is a total disgrace. Should be forced to be locked out of the Australian IP ranges.

The T's and C's state they will fight any claim that they are frauds. They use the word fight because it is a scam that the law does not protect against.
The law should make dating sites illegal without the entry of a drivers license which forces an age and location match. Credit cards mean nothing. They can be stolen.
They should also make it illegal for brothel owners to run dating sites as they just use the girls that work there as free bait for the scam.
